Great find, Infiniti sure has a winner with the new G.......then again, they had a winner with the first gen G too. Thanks for sharing.

It won Motor Trend's Car of the Year...guess C&D has different criteria...

Yep, and it was also one of C&D's 10 best! Oh, got some inside info on the stork arrival Shane, I see you have exact days left. I do have to admit, the new Camry sure looks better than the previous version!

However, the AJAC voting didn't fare so well for the G35x. It fell to second place behind...Lexus ES350???

I demand a recount!

Best New Luxury Car Under $50,000

Because of a lack of sufficient entries, there was no $50,000-$75,000 luxury car category this year; the entries were clustered in the Prestige Car class (above $75,000) and this category. The front-drive Lexus ES 350 triumphed here, beating the all-wheel-drive Lincoln MKZ and 306-hp Infiniti G35X in what came as a surprise, at least to me.

I guess I can see how the ES350 would come out on top over the G since it is in the Best Luxury Car under $50k. The ES is certainly more luxury than the G. If it was in the Best Sports Sedans under $50k, things would of been different. The two cars shouldn't even be compared IMO......two different animals.

I'm honestly surprised that the Audi S8 took home best prestige car. I figured the S or LS would have wrapped that one up. Good for Audi.

I just read that AJAC thing..those guys are on definite crack. It's a horribly designed comparison... here's a list of the problems that annoyed me most:

1) compare an S8 to a S63 AMG not the S550...even tho the prices MIGHT match up more, it's still a different class.
2) the category: "best sports car under 50k" WTF!! Their choices came down to VW GTi, Mazda speed3 and an acura?? OK this is the category in which the G OWNNNSSS. not just the G, there's the IS350, bmw 328, some trims of the 335...These cars demolish the any of the 3 cars mentioned above, but they werent even IN the contest.
3) OK read this: "The 335i's combination of excellent overall performance, great handling and relatively good value (starting at $51,600, it's almost half the price of the more exciting Audi)"...WHAT? they're comparing a $hitty 335 to an RS4?? and then saying ''it's good value''. Wow man journalists are allll in BMW's pocket. Since when is the 335 a competitor with 70k cars? that's definite M3 category. I would expect this sort of comparison from official BMW sources, not supposedly bias-free "journalists".
4) ahh im jus pissed cuz that article sucks.

LOL. Simmer down, simmer down.

I do agree though...some of their results are questionable.

You have to take Canadian pricing into consideration. The Best Sports Car under $50k can not have the G Coupe, the IS350 or the 335i because they are all over $50k here in Canada.
