Yeah, I'm ignorant when it comes to Audi, I'll admit it. I just read a review on the S6 and how although its a good value compared to its competitors, its "underpowered". So I was assuming this same formula was used for the S8.

The S8 uses an almost identical engine to the S6, with 15 more horsepower, and weighs more. So if the S6 is underpowered...

I personally think most Audis are over-rated. They look good, but are way too nose-heavy to handle well. C&D has a lux sedan comparison test where they say the A8L handles better than the others, so they're on something.

The Camry isn't bad in SE V6 trim. But I'd personally much rather have a G35. Of course, the G costs more. Camry vs. Altima? Tougher call talking automatics, but I like a stick, and the Camry doesn't offer one with the V6.

Finally, I must agree that the new magazine design is awful. Started a thread about it on the C&D forum here almost a month ago:

Just about everyone abolutely hates it. Still waiting for someone from the magazine to respond. I advise doing what Coke did after the public panned New Coke.

Well the 4 cars above have been on my short list of cars to buy this year(though I was looking at the Z06), though I'd want all the BMW badges removed if I got one of those. What BMW stands for in the USA is enough to keep me away from them, but a few of their models drive pretty darn good.

That's curious that I subscribe to C&D yet I don't have this ten best issue. Well, I'll take the word of this thread then. At $12 for 36 issues, I wont worry if one is missing.

I'd take an underpowered 435hp 10 banger anyday!

Yeah, no kidding! Same here. It sounds like an oxymoron to me...underpowered 10-Cyl.

Here is the article from Edmunds that I'm referring to. Edmunds also talks about the S6's need of a more refined suspension, better handling and (what I was talking about) more power.
