Info on Nissan Volume Purchasing Program (VPP)?

I know there were past posts about the Nissan Volume Purchasing Program, but does anybody know when the 07 G35 will be added to this program?

I just found out I can qualify through my work. The VPP 800# and my local Infiniti dealership have no idea.

Thx.

I was told six months by various dealers (of course, that was a month ago )

Depends on dealer ... the Infiniti manager I know in my town said he'll give it to me today. I believe him since I was good friends with his older brother.

Guess he wants me to mod a G35 like I did to my TLS to get people in the showroom (ie free advertising)

It's Vehicle Purchase Program, actually. I doubt any dealers will honor it right now.

Exactly. The car is too new for VPP. For me, my scenario was either wait the 4 months and get VPP or trade up my 05 coupe and ask for a discount since I am a repeat buyer with the sales guy. They were happy to do that for me. In the long run, doing VPP would have saved me 3,000 off MSRP (I don't have the A plan) and am a business associate of NNA. I decided to take delivery next week of a 07 G35x with premium/navi. I got fair numbers for my trade and the dealer gave me more than what Carmax would have paid cash for.

VPP will be available within just a few months ... I'd bet by Feb or March they'll realize the "initial buying frenzy" will be over, and they can open up the doors to the vpp crowd.

My dealer allowed me to order an '07 G35S 6MT w/Tech, Nav, and Premium with the condition that if VPP is available upon arrival, I would get that price (my wife has VPP through her company), and if not, I could walk away with no obligation (including a refund of my ordering deposit). I would assume that either they feel confident that VPP will be available by late February or they would offer the car to me so close to VPP regardless that I wouldn't walk away. Of course, it's also possible they just don't see any danger in finding a buyer for the car if I walk away.

Where did you see the VPP info posted? I check the nissan vpp website and it still says the 07 G35 sedan is not included.

It's included on the A and C plans. I am keeping an eye on it, too.

I f I understand it right, those two plans designate employees of Nissan and their immediate family to purchase through the VPP.

My wife is part of the D plan, which designates affiliate suppliers and business associates and their immediate family members.

When you get into the site and click on the "Nissan" or "business associates" listing on the bottom and it will open a window that explains it in detail.

Here's the link http://www.insidenissan.com/

My wife is part of the D plan also. It looks like we will have to wait for the new year.

My salesman said he expected eligibility around March/April. A guy on another forum mentioned that the dealer let him place an order for that time period contingent upon the VPP being available when the car was delivered. If it wasn't , the deal would be void.

So depending on what we believe, it may (or may not ) be coming.

So we wait...

I sent an email to my dealer in Southern Cal to see if they would negotiate a deal close to VPP pricing before year end. Haven't heard back.

He also thought it would be some time early next year before the 07 G35 was in the VPP for Business Associates/Vendors; not NNA employees.

I, like the rest of you, hate to wait, but I will for that pricing...

3K is a chunk of change. And it would break my heart to take a new car out in the middle of Winter anyway...
