I think Kestrels looks perfect with the back and the sides done.
Wayne, I didn't mean the windshield I meant the front side windows. Sorry, my bad. I agree it would be crazy to impare vision through the windshield. My neighbour's crazy mother had her intrepid done with limo tint on ALL windows, I was always scared when she came around.

The clear tint for the windshield seems interesting, I've never heard of it either. I'm going to talk to my tint guy tomorrow when I get the clear bra installed to see exactly what is legal in Alberta, then I'll go from there.

Found some info on it on 3M's webpage:

"3M has also recently introduced its premium, clear "Crystal" film which, amazingly, offers the same 99% + Ultraviolet protection as the rest of 3M tinted window films and upwards of 45% Sun heat rejection. The “Crystal” film is ideal for all the car’s windows but particularly for the front windshield"

Keep in mind this stuff is expensive, they wanted $200 for the windshield alone, a bit steep for now, but come summer I'm probably going to want to have it, not having to worry about wearing sunglasses while driving and using a sunshade when parked is sounding pretty good.

I think the reason that it's so pricey would be in the installation charges. Any installer worth their weight will probably need to remove the windshield apply the film properly.

*looks innocent* No, Officer, this car isn't fast, I just use it to buy groceries and get to church on Sunday, are you saying this could go over the speed limit? Good heavens!

Honestly though I haven't taken it over 80 yet, trying to baby it through the break-in period, but this thing will go like a bat out of hell when you push it, I can already tell.

Nice ride - looks like what I have on order. Where in Cary are you...? I'm just outside your area, and your neighborhood looks familiar - although the RDU area looks very similiar from town-to-town.

i just removed the llumar %50 i had on my windshiled (pita) my good buddy owns a sign/tint shop and he was aware fo this new "clear film". he said although it helps out from the sun it proved to be glarey at night from streetlights-wet pavement and such. also removing a windshield IS NOT NECESSARY at all LOL if anything the side pillars should be removed....

The 2007 G35 has this already. it's a standard feature built into the glass. Check out the Exterior standard features on infiniti's website or the sales brochure. 6th bullet down.

Wow, good to know! It's pretty funny that it takes this many G drivers this long to figure this out, we've got so many features we don't even know about all of them!
