is this Journey/Sport/X? Tell him the invoice price and say that you know people that have been getting around there. Don't fall into the trick of you giving him a number...so just low-ball him.

For a Sport 5AT with your options:
MSRP = $38,640
Invoice = $35,218

That doesnt include the $700 destination fee and tax/titles/license fees (applicable to both MSRP & Invoice).

The deal you can get will depend on a few factors like location, dealer volume sales, the particular salesman/manager you get. You should determine the price you're willing to accept (don't tell the dealer) and shop around at local dealers. See what others are offering and use that as a starting point for your negotiations. This dealer should beat others' offers. Also remember that if you're buying close to the end of this month, dealers may be more willing to deal since they'll be trying to make month/year-end sales numbers.

Give him a lowball number...then tell him $999.99 over invoice and you'll take it.

I'm assuming he included the destination fee ($38,640 +$700 = $39,340). If he didnt, then ask him to give you a breakdown, cause it isnt right then.
If you're in an area that has a lot of dealers, you can probably do better than $2000 off MSRP. I know in the NY/NJ/CT area, you can get very close to invoice. I personally got >$3000 off MSRP.

Yea Same here in my area! In Hawaii think we only have one main Infinity Dealer! and they are seling me a 07 G35S with 6MT Premium and Spoiler for MSRP of 35,300, and with the Spoiler 35,800. No Dealer markup. So think that is a pretty good deal, since there is no other dealer's for Infinity here! and with dealer markup, they were asking around 37,800!
