I recently got a journey with the premium and nav packages which should include fog lights. When I turn the switch to that setting, I see absolutely no difference in lighting on road or in the headlight itself. Anyone have noticible difference when you turn on the fogs?
Thanks

No - the fog lights are integrated into the headlights, and don't put out much light vs. the Xenons. I just leave mine off.Originally Posted by Bobert

Maybe you can see them in fog...
I haven't used the fog lights in my 07 yet, but on my 03 you could definitely notice a difference when you flicked them on.

Is the fog light switch part of the regular headlight handle or elsewhere? I havent looked...

It is part of the headlight switch. There is a toggle that you turn forward for them to come on. Your headlights have to be on as well IIRC.Originally Posted by DaCurryman

I coudlnt see much difference either. I had the lights aimed at a wall and didnt even know the fog lights were on (they were). Turning them on and off made no noticeable difference while looking at the wall (or in my driving experience)
BTW, Arent they a little high up on the grill to be fog lights??
Coming from the M3, the fog lights were below the lights and actually made a difference in seeing the road when on. These seem to me to high up to see the road....

I thought this too. I like the way the fogs are on the M, they're part of the lower grill...Originally Posted by ronbo

Hey DaCurrymanm thanks for mentioning "a switch". As usual, I have read the instructions and didn't realize there was a separate ring that controls the fog lights.
I have been turning the outermost ring to what I thought was the fog light setting with no visible change (other than my wife wondering what I was up to driving along cutting the lights off and on. I have been switching from auto to always on rather than fog, Read the manual tonight and found there is an inner ring that turns on the yellow lights I was expecting.
No huge difference, but they do shine yellow a little closer to the car.
Makes me feel like I am really driving a rental trying to find the headlight switch before I hit the on ramp at the airport interstate.
Thanks again!
