why isn't the G getting the respect it deserves!! Me personally, I think the G is better than the Lexus. The BMW only has the advantage because now it comes twin-turbo which makes it very easy to upgrade. Would be nice if Nissan would put a detuned version of the upcoming GTR motor for '08 and label it as an "R" edition. But thats just my opinion.

1.) Because its still the new kid on the block.
2.) Because Autospies is filled with disrespectful fanboys...very few of which are nissan/infiniti lovers. If you thought this forum can be bad, try expressing an opinion over there.
3.) If you talk to reasonable people, they'll give the G the respect it deserves.

There is one member on Autospies who refers to the 2007 G's plasitcky interior. HELLO, that was the main upgrade from the first gen to the second gen. and, imo, its far from plasticky anymore.

Ya, you are certainly correct - it gets brutal over there. It is quite entertaining sometimes though. I like the "...go find a cliff and jump off" comment on that same thread.

I never understood the whole bashing other cars things. All three of those cars are fantastic. Each does what it does well, but just a little differently from the other. To say that any one of them is a POS is simply ignorance. To me, it's not a case of what one is the best, it is which one is the best for ME!

I thought the same thing. There is a thread somewhere about the possible moniker for Infiniti's performance line should they develop one. A couple of people thought "R" would be a good fit. Remember that Volvo has the S60 R and V70 R. They'd be the first ones to sue over infringment.

I think you're correct with this approach. All three cars have different personalities, looks and assets that each person will put different weightings on. In the end any one of these three make a great car to drive and own.

You're right on the money Shane! The 335i, IS350 and the G are all great cars and all have some great features. It just works out that I really love the G, so I bought one. There is no need to bash someone for making a different choice, unless of course I stomp them in a friendly race

The same reason people argue about their favorite sports team.....or entertainer.....or video game console.....or favorite stereo brand.....or political party.....or <insert favorite topic for argument here>.....

Sad to say that's the situation with the internet.....anyone can speak their minds and discuss any topic ranging from the most intellectual(the war in Iraq, the economy, how to be a better man/husband/father) to the most retarded(how truly talented is Britney, K-FED and Paris..... ).

Bottom line: some people like to argue about the most asinine things. It gives them some sense of self-worth to degrade and put down others.

Ultimately it's simple immaturity.

Back to the topic at hand: If not for the G coupe, I probably wouldn't be looking at Infiniti. Not saying anything bad about the Infinitis, but there was a time that the styling was just as exciting as watching paint dry. And the current 3-series coupe is nice; I'd take it...but not before I see how the next gen G Coupe fares. And the IS? It also has a lot to offer, but it's so darned small and cramped that it's only useful if you're a small person.

In case you missed it:

"jakekann, please go find the steepest cliff you can find, and jump off it. i think it would be a smarter choice for you to do that than to come here and irritate us."
