Would you spend 35+K if you were not in love?

Very true.
Some of the colors are boring, but others are more flattering.

We may have a winner.
This is so true, and most likely will convince me to take the plunge.
Nuts: good question. This is a board of mostly practical people, so do the practical thing. I drove my '97 Maxima for an extra couple of years waiting for a car that really truly inspired me to spend that kind of money. The 03/04 Gs were nice, but something about the interior didn't quite do it for me. Plus, the two extra years without payments was nice.
Now after almost 2 years of ownership, I'm still in love with my 05 sedan and I'm glad I waited. So buy whenever you're ready - there's no rush. Is there anything else you're considering?

You work hard for your money so you shouldn't settle for 2nd best. Buy the car that really excites you. I looked at the Lexus and Acura and the G35 blew me away compared to the others. Everybody's opinions will vary so buy what is the right car for you.
Don't we go through this process with everything in life? Do you settle for a woman you're not in love with or doesn't wow you with her looks? I doubt it. Do you buy a house that you don't like, just because you have to live somewhere? No. So imho you don't commit to 35k when you already know there is something you don't like about it. Sure, you may spend it and later realize you made a mistake, but why go into something already having reservations? Just my .02. We don't have to choose something just because everyone else is doing it.

and
Great points so far by all!!!
I say don't buy it. $35k is a good amount of money and if you are unhappy about it now, it will only get worse after the "newness" wears off.
I had the very same problem with the current car -- I just could not get over the interior enough to buy it. So, I am waiting for a car that I really, really want.
Like the next gen coupe for example....
(assuming it looks just like the concept)
If the C350 or IS350 don't move you either (as they don't me), then I would stay with what you have until you find something that you know is worth the money for what YOU want.
