New Winter 07 issue of Nissan Sport loaded w/G info ('07 review, super pics, more)

The Winter 2007 issue of Nissan Sport magazine (www.nissansportmag.com) releases officially January 1, 2007. We’ve packed the new issue with G35 info, from new turbo kits to every single G at SEMA to an in-depth test of the ’07 Sedan and G35x. Here’s just some of what’s coming in the new issue….

2007 G35 SEDAN TEST: We put the new 2007 G35 Sedan and G35x through their paces from a unique Nissan perspective. We’ll let you know what we think of the car, which options to pass on, and what to expect from the new VQ engine. We also release the best photos yet of the new Sedan.

NEWS AND RUMORS: A G35 Coupe breaks the 205 mph barrier (and you won’t believe what’s under the hood)! We have more scoop on the ’08 G35 Coupe, details on a new G35 motorsports entry, and a new “Infiniti Driving Experience.”

EVERY G35 AT SEMA: We take you inside the crazy world of SEMA and we have photos of every G35 at the show, including one with a killer new body kit. We also heard some incredible rumors and confirmed an all new affordable G35 single turbo kit is coming out soon. Nissan Sport has the details.

AFFORDABLE G35 BIG BRAKE TEST: Our Project G35 gets a new big brake kit installed. We give a full rundown of the affordable, short-stopping kit. We also tell you how to properly seat your brakes--and what not to do.

TRACK TRICKS FOR YOUR G35: Our motorsports tip of the issue tackles the G35’s seemingly slow steering on the track. Why your G does what it does according to our SCCA-licensed teacher David Muramoto.

GROUNDING WIRES, DO THEY WORK? We put grounding wires to the test, both on the dyno and subjectively. You might be surprised at what we discovered when they went on our G35s.

G35 ALL-SEASON TIRES: This set of all-season tires that we tested out really did the trick … and didn’t break the bank. We even gave them a go on snow in our RWD sports car. You’ll see how it turned out.

To get the new Winter 2007 issue of Nissan Sport magazine, order at www.nissansportmag.com or call 505-771-2370. If you order by FRIDAY, DEC 15, you’ll also get our premiere issue of the magazine, which we’ll mail out immediately. For more details, including a look at the new cover, table of contents, and a list of the bookstores that will carry Nissan Sport (nearly 500!), visit www.nissansportmag.com. Any questions, write me at editor@nissansportmag.com.

It's a bit cold to be out on the bike right now--I'm snowboarding. Plus, my days and weekends lately have been focused on the magazine, so little time for fun (although doing the mag is pretty darn fun).

The new issue of Nissan Sport magazine should hit Barnes & Noble and Hastings any day now; Borders should get their allotment in mid/late January. The magazine mailed to subscribers in late December. Enjoy the new issue--let me know when you get your copy.

We'll also get a look at an all-new Infiniti crossover that is slated to be a step down in both price and size from the popular Infiniti FX. It too will make its debut in New York.
That part has peaked my interests. I'd be willing to bet that this is the "CX" that Infiniti has been planning for a couple of years.
Hopefully it'll have the VQ25HR and not the QR25DE that it's rumored to have....

Just to remind readers that while we'll see the '08 Coupe and crossover on January 7, we won't be able to discuss what we saw until April when the Coupe is unveiled in New York. We are angling to be the first magazine with pics and a writeup of both vehicles, delaying our publication by about a week to hit the embargo deadline on the nose.

C'mon Dave, can't you just give us a little peak of the new Coupe this Sunday??

Thanks for the info, I am looking forward to reading your write-up on the new Coupe.

Are they implying that a stock 2008 G35 coupe will do over 200 mph? If so, it would have to have like 400 hp or so. The top speed of a 400 hp Vette is like 185 mph.

Dave - are you going to be seeing the coupe at the media preview for the North American International Auto show? I may have to find a way to finagle myself in there. I used to know a few people who worked for Car and Driver magazine, maybe I better ring them up!

2008 coupe isnt going to do 200+ unless modded.

they are just wording it kinda funny... its a modded car any rebuilt/twin turbo coupe can make close to if not 200+ mph... may need to change gearing though.
