What's with all the non '07 6mt owners posts? I got mine last week and already driven it 800 miles. black exterior/stone interior with premium. Couldn't justify dishing out another 4k for nav and tech. I would never use nav since I know LA pretty well and I rarely parallel park.

Yeah, a lot of people don't know that the 6MT is actually a twin turbo, that's why it's so much faster...

I just picked up my IP 6MT last night with prem, nav, tech that I ordered back in October. I love the car!!! Too bad it rained on the way home though.

Anyway, this is my first post as a member of this incredible forum that I've been reading for the past month. This is an awesome forum.

Have about 1k miles on my 07 Ivory Pearl/Graphite 6MT.

Here is my experience so far. I would normally never consider an auto in a car that I'm going to drive day to day (and I didn't with this car). During the test drive, I noticed that I was having some difficulty driving the car smoothly (take offs and gear changes). After owning many Mustangs, I figured it was a matter of just getting used to the clutch action. Needless to say, I didn't drive the auto (probably a good thing from a longer term perspective).

Here is my biased opinion:

1) Being used to the torque of a V-8, I've had a hard time adjusting to take-offs. I think this is mostly due to the quietness of the engine and the lack of torque off of idle (again, compared to a V-8).

2) This is the first manual car I have owned that I actually have to "pay attention to" when leaving a stop light.

3) During the past 200 - 300 miles I have finally become "buddies" with this 6 speed and would never trade it for the auto (note: #2 is still true - to a degree).

4) The car isn't completely broken in yet (no redline), but I have seen the stability control light flash on the 2 to 3 shift a couple of times!!

In closing, if you are not completely sure that you want the 6 speed, do yourself a favor and drive both before buying. You might be surprised at your decision!

Yeah, I once he said that I knew it was sarcasm, especially since I had checked on them.

Question to all you 6MT owners: I currently have 200 miles on my car and have noticed in the last day that when I accelerate and let go of the gas, after about one second it feels like the car sort of jerks, then decelerates normally. It's not a hard jerk, but definitely noticeable. Is this normal with the manual or should I bring it into the dealership for an inspection?
