It's not a hard jerk, but definitely noticeable. Is this normal with the manual or should I bring it into the dealership for an inspection?
I'm sure all manuals behave this way, dont know why thought all I can say is now it's less noticable. I'm at 3k mark in 1 month

This car tends to rev hard, so you definitely feel the jerk-back when you let go of the throttle. It's a little annoying sometimes, especially when I'm trying my best to give my passengers the smoothest ride. If you're staying at a gear, and you find yourself letting go of the throttle too often, just shift to the next gear.

Interesting because even Infiniti admits there is only about .1 seconds difference in the performance between the 5AT and 6MT. Even the mags are showing that the 5AT may be a tick quicker than the 6MT. I think you're feeling the extra torque multiplication of the 6MT and thinking the car is quicker than it reallly is.

Just picked my 6 speed up Friday night. Prett good, a little notchy but not unbearable. I haven't owned an auto, nor do I intend to.

Its not just in the numbers on the dragstrip that matter, its the control you have over the car that you can't get with an auto, no matter how much effort or how many claims auto makers have. Autos are still slushboxes with torque converters that deliver power through a liquid.

It's just plain way more fun to drive. With manual you can rev on the car next to you, then drop the clutch and take off. In auto you would need to shift to neutral, rev, then shift back to drive and take off, hoping you don't kill your tranny. Plus girls love guys who know how to drive stick. And it's so hot when a girl can hop in your '07 G 6MT and so you her driving skills.
