There have been a couple of other threads about this. But yes - 80GB video ipod hooked up in the center console using a connector that splits into R / L and video (think I found it at Circuit City?). I first used a Monster cable that was audio only for my nano, that also worked well.

The aux will not show song names etc. on the screen, but the sound is good. Video is possible, and looks great, when the car is stopped and parking brake on.

Has anyone heard of how to bypass the parking brake and car stopped requirement to play videos on the nav screen?

You can bypass the parking brake by grounding the wire going to the switch. But of course your parking brake light will be on.

But you still have to over come the moving issue.

You will need to ground the parking brake wire at the display control unit. For the moving part, it will most likely be one of 2 methods. Interrupting the VSS (vehicle speed sense) wire, which we do on the FX to enable nav input while driving (pretty easy), or there is an internal gyro in one of the modules which sees motion and locks you out, like in the new Pioneer Av headunits. Not very easy to bypass those.

Still waiting to look at the service manual to see what exactly needs to be done. But it wil be done.

If you can override the video-while-moving issue, then this item

http://www.autosound2000.com/ipodadapters.htm

for $49 bucks is gonna be awesome. I've checked with the company, at it allows you to view your ipod menus and even album art through a TV monitor. Just jerry-rig the remote somewhere on the steering wheel and you'll have total ipod control and functionality through the 7" screen.

Sweet. I'm anxious to see how this will work out, escpecially for the input while driving option for the NAV.

I've had my 07 G35 Sport Sedan for about a month now. I cant wait to put some work into it, maybe an intake and exhaust for now.

I haven't picked up my G35 yet, but my dealer said there is a way to defeat this so that the video will work while the car is moving. He even said he can give a name of a person who can do this... So, we'll see....
