Sister Forums?

Does anyone know a good sister forum to this one for the 335i an the IS. We talk about why we like the G35 over those two all the time here but I'd like to see what IS and 335 owners have to say about the '07 G35.

Thanks! Found this thread on the IS forum refering to the R&T article. They're really flaming the G35 guys... even post direct quotes from this forum about how "angry the g35 lovers must be."

That's fine, they can flame all they want. It doesn't make me enjoy my G any less.

I have high respects for Lexus, Acura, and BMW as they all make fine automobiles. Each of them do what the do very well, but just in a different way. No need in bagging on any of those cars.

I'm a ClubLexus forum member and I don't think they flame the G much at all. The Lexus group has a more "auto enthusiast" flavor than anything else in my opinion.

I owned an 03 & 04 G Sedan and loved the cars. I now drive an IS350 and love that car.

We should all just enjoy the great products being created these days. My only opinion about the Road & Track thing is that front-wheel drive shouldn't be in a comparo with the rest of the group. Again, just my opinion.

Let them talk, I don't think many G35 members that bought or like the new 07 G35 are angry instead I see a lot of great comments about the new G and that is what I think is important. As many have said, all these cars are great, you can't go wrong with either one of them, it is just a matter of personal taste.

If I was in the market right now, the G35 would be my top pick followed by the IS and then the TL regardless of what a magazine said.

Just about EVERY magazine classifies the three as the same. They all go head-to-head.

There was one statement that was made in the IS forum that I found interesting... curious if you guys agree:

"In the end I'm convinced Infiniti still has a long way to go to get to the Lexus standard in overall fineness and consistentcy of product. They still look cheap and too generic for me when compared to Lexus, BMW, M-B. Have you ever noticed how often 'value' or 'bang for the buck' comes up when the G35 is discussed? Value is fine but true luxury products aren't sold on a perceived bargain basis. They are sold partly on performance but largely on 'image' they convey to the owner and the public. Infiniti's image has never been good in that regard. They are getting better, but they aren't there yet."

I agree they each offer something the others do not and why we have choices. I just happen to pick the correct one.

As a former IS300 owner, it's always nice to see the new IS get some real notice in terms of reviews though. The previous generation IS is an awesome vehicle but due to lack of power, and not quite the same style as the rest of the Lexus world, it always got the short end of the stick. Reviewers either expected Lexus luxury and were disappointed, or they expected raw performance and were disappointed.

It is amusing though. Being a member of the various lexus forums, I remember lots of poo-pooing the reviews when the IS came in low or last . Now the the IS is getting it's dues, people are all over the reviews

I do agree that Infiniti has a way to go when it comes to overall fit and finish and consistency. I've been reading alot about rattles and wind noise and various other things in the G35 that you just don't usually see with a Lexus product. My own G is suffering from both rattles and wind noise that just shouldn't be there. Infiniti definitely doesn't have the same image a Lexus does (or mercedes). However, I don't see BMW as having that same image either. BMWs known for a driving perfection, not overall perfection.
