Replace CD changer with a storage pocket?
I have no use for the changer, in fact I only put the magazine so that I don't lose it. Rather than going to all the expense of buying another trunk liner do you think I could find a pocket that will fill the space?
It would be nice to have somewhere to stick the manuals so I can use my glove compartment for something else. Just a thought. TIA.

Christian, what I have done with this G and my last one is to purchase the small Rubbermaid storage container. I keep my manuals, tire pressure guage, etc in it. I just keep this in my trunk and it takes up little room and I can move it around if I need space in the trunk. This way my glove box is freed up in the car to keep other trinkets that you want handy.
This is the container, which is not too big (7" high x 14" long x 10" wide).

My Infinit G35x's manuals came in a black container that has velcro on one side, and the velcro sticks to the sides of the trunk. I primarily use my iPod, but may use the compact flash and possibly the built-in hard disk for convenience. However, CDs sound much better than mp3's, so when I want to really appreciate the sound system, I can use the dash CD player and the trunk CD changer. I haven't had a CD changer in my car in years, and back then, I would wind up only replacing the CDs every few months. I find an iPod much more convenient. However, I supposse the CD changer is still useful for the few times I want to hear good CD sound (which is better than MP3).

I got the black container with Velcro with my 07 Infiniti and I placed in in the rear behind the rear seats in the corner velcro'd to the liner next to the rear speaker, can't see it when you're looking in your rear-view or looking back there unless you climb over the rear headrest. It sits nicely hidden away and doesn't take up any useful space.
