What is the salex tax in Dirty Jersey? 7%? You can get a much better deal. I paid $35k OTD for my '07 with premium and splash guards and I live in LA where the sales tax is 8.25%.

Yes the sales tax is 7%. I am finding it hard to get a good quote over here. I wish we had our own dealers on this forum or a sister forum who could negotiate a "Good" deal with the members here.

I'm too lazy to look up the price sheet, but what is the difference between your price and Invoice?

Okay Here is what I figured following the invoice sheet.

MSRP = $39,140

Quoted = $37,392

Invoice = $35,655

$1737 more than Invoice
$1748 less than MSRP

Seems to be mediocre to me.

All depends on the availability of cars in your area. So called "tri-pack" cars are extremely rare in some areas and if you really want all three packages the dealer may be able to make you pay that as they know the cars are rare.

For instance there was exactly one car available in the entire DC area when I got mine so I paid a similar price. For the record I was happy to pay it so as not to have to wait 4 weeks or take something I didnt want.

I will be happy if this is available to me. I will find out tomorrow. I wish VPP was available to the affiliates of NNA.

Was that for sport or journey?

dcmidnight is correct in that the "tri-pack" cars are harder to find and dealers are less likely to give a great deal on it, but then again you're in the northeast "tri-state" area (NY/NJ/CT), which has a number of dealers and does a lot of high volume. Being that you're in the Metro NY area, I think you can do better...I did...

Sorry john, I was talking about asuh's 35k OTD offer. Seems a bit too good for a Sport as that would be like 2k under invoice ;0)

It was 36k OTD, not 35k. My mistake. 2300 off msrp.

Easy Quotes

Log on to the Infiniti web site. Build your car. Ask for quotes. I got 8 quotes back in 24 hrs. and saved a bunch on my '06X. The dealers know they are in competition and will bottom line you right off.

Given that currently a fully load G35 is pretty hard to get right now, this sounds reasonable to me. I just purchased my G35s with Prem, Nav, Tech, Front/Rear Active Steering, Spoiler and Splash Guards. The most I could get them down was $1,500 under MSRP (and believe me I tried!!).

Apparently, vehicles like my car are very scarce in SF Bay Area (and maybe Northern CA). As a result, dealers are selling what they have - i.e. especially the loaded models as close to sticker as possible. Some dealers in the Bay Area are asking sticker and getting it with no problem.

If fully loaded G35's are more available in your area, you should be able to do a little better, but then again the new G is getting a lot of attention, and is very much in demand - especially with the Navigation package.

Regards,

Well, it sounds like you're getting a little over 2 grand off sticker, so thats not a bad deal. Whether its a good deal is really up to you though. See if any other dealers can beat that.
