New Owner
Hi Folks,
I've been lurking here for a couple of months but I finally picked up my new G35S yesteday. It's a platinum Graphite, Stone Auto (my first ever) with premium and Sirius. I picked up the splash guards and the all weather mats from the dealer as well. I'll install the guards when the weather here gets a bit better. I'm in Santa Fe and ended up getting the car from Colorado Springs for $2K off MSRP. Break in was driving 300+ miles home into an advancing snow storm. The dealer was great and managed to source some snow chains for me before I left just in case! This car is awesome. I had plenty of time to play with stuff on the way home to get familiar with the car. So far, so good. I'm very impressed with the audio. Sirius was a must, so no Nav, and it's much better in the G than from any other of my sources. I took some great CD's to listen to as well and was very impressed. I have a nice system at home and given that the car is a different environment the imaging and overall quality of the sound is nothing short of excellent. Only a serious bass head or someone who loves organ music could find much fault IMHO.
Finally, anyone who's on the fence about the Sport should just get it. I drove the regular Journey and the feel of the Sport is very similar. It isn't so much rougher as more muscular in feel. Everything just seems a little tighter handling wise. I'll have more driving impressions after break in but so far the paddle shifters seem to work well and I love the seats. All in all, a great first experience. Now all I can do is look at the car in the driveway covered in snow for a while and drive the WRX

I sooo wanted Sirius with mine, but ended up getting the Nav with XM because I wanted the hard-drive based mp3 capability. Maybe Sirius and XM will merge later this year and all the content will be available on both services.
Regardless, the car drives wonderfully and the Studio on Wheels system sounds great!
