Im talking about all the other crap the people at JIFFY LUBE always offer but some how always get the feeling they are trying to scam me so when should all the proper maintenance be done at what milleage?

I am just planning on following the maintenance schedule found in the owner's manual.

I think in the owners manual, according to the premium schedule, it recommends a flush & fill every 25-30k. The regular schedule is like 50k. At least that's what my service advisor told me.

Yes, be sure and read your owner's manual and warranty books to familiarize yourself with all the features of your new ride and the warranty requirements.
Both those features are very important...

Once you've done that, you'll be better prepared for a proper maintenance schedule.
Many of us get maintenance done in shops other than Infiniti or do it ourselves which is fine as long as you have receipts and details of the maintenance.......

.............But one thing I recommend that you do is get automatic transmission maintenance done, including fluid/filter change, and flush when necessary, done at the dealer who will be very familiar with fluid requirements and procedures ..
Not all non-Infiniti shops will know or care about that...... which could have a big bearing on your transmission warranty-- since apparantly Infiniti/Nissan is very fussy on what fluid goes back into our rides.
From what I've found out over the years of owning these rides is that Nissan puts top quality synthetic tranny fluid in at the factory which is supposed to be one of the best on the market -- and one that Nissan mandates usage of in our transmissions.......

Apparantly if a customer has transmission problems and requires warranty service, the first thing that's done is to check to make sure that the required Nissan Matic J ATF has been used.
If it isn't then that's blamed on the problem and you have no transmission warranty, and from what I understand, Nissan/Infiniti is very hard and fast on that and will take no excuses...

Bottom line: Take no chances with non-Infiniti service on your trans filter and fluid -----

G/L, and don't forget to read up on your manuals

Colin.

Yeah - like others have said - whatever is in the owner's manual ...

But please for the love of the new G, do NOT do it in a place like Jiffy Lube

I did what Colin said with my Civic...I would get oil changes or some other work at local shops if necessary, but I always did my ATF changes at a Honda Dealership. I plan on doing the same thing with my 07G.
