If you leave it running and walk away with the fob someone else can drive it away - exactly the same as if you leave
any other car running and walk away. The only difference is if they shut it off or stall it, they can't start it again.
I wish that the car could sense that if it was on ACC and the keys is no longer within range, it would shut off. It's annoying to have to check to see all my lights are off everytime I leave.

So if you started your car in the winter and got out to clean off the snow and scrape the windows the car would shut off. Not very practical.
Why not put your headlights on auto?

No, I understand why you wouldn't want the car to shut off if the engine was on. I'm more talking about the other 2 postions the car can be in (On and ACC??) when only the radio and lights works.

If you leave your headlights in the on position instead of auto, after you turn the car to the off position the headlights will turn off in 5 minutes. Im not quite sure why you would want to do it this way, or why the car would ever be left unattended in the ACC position but:

1) The ignition switch is in the ACC position,
and
2) All doors are closed, and
3) The selector lever is in the P (Park) position.

You might be asking the car to be smarter than the driver.

I guess I don't get your question:
If the radio's on, you'll hear it when you get out. If the radio's not on, how often would you be sitting in the car with nothing on but the headlights?

If you do walk away, the car powers itself off after 30 minutes to stop the battery drain - automatically.

Ya I think I didn't make it clear. I'm not talking about the headlights at all. I was talking of more of the occassionaly situation when the car is in the ON position (say I was charging my cell phone). I get distracted or whatever and leave w/o pushing the start button 2 more times to shut it off. In that situation, it would be nice if it shut itself off after some time w/o the key being present.

That's a cool key. Now they just need to offer a remote start on the 6MT and it would be perfect.

And if you hold the unlock button, all your windows will roll down (they'll stop midway if you let go of the button).

To roll your windows up without the push start button, however, you'll have to take your key out of your key fob, stick it in either door handle, and turn it to lock the car. Hold that position and the windows will go up.

Does anyone know if the moonroof will also close with the windows?
