I just had Clear Armor installed on my car yesterday and the care instructions say that it is strongly recommended that I not wash the car for 30 days. On, my old car that would not have been a problem, however I don't think i could go more than a week without washing it. Has anyone else gotten this done and washed their car within the 30 day period?

Clear Armor, meaning clear bra?? If so, my installer said avoid washing for 2-3 days. I"m gonna wait till next week to wash it.

Letting it sit out in the sun should help set it up. 30 days seems like a long time. My 3M bra I didn't have to wait.

The Clear Armor I believe is what the dealer calls complete protection for the car. It includes a clear bra to cover the whole front bumper, a section to cover a good portion of the front of the hood, the mirrors, the edge of the doors, underneath the gas cap, along the trunk opening, and a super thick piece to protect the headlights from any possible cracking. I'm not sure if it's the same as what you mean by clear bra.

I paid the dealership for it and they subbed out the work. It costs $1,295.00 for everything. Comes with a 4 year 50k mile warranty. I'm extremely impressed with the work.

$1300 for a paint protection film? Ouch.

I got quoted for $550 installed. That includes hood, bumper, and mirrors. I posted a thread with lists of certified 3m clear bra installers.

Kewltea, they did the entire front bumper and about 14-16" of the front of the hood. No fenders though.

Front bumper, fenders, mirrors, and ~24in hood should cost arounf 700. Going through the dealer will always cost more than going direct

I had the mirrors, hood, and fenders part of my negotiation and paid for the front bumper and rear trunk scuff pad separately.

I was able to get them to put the "newer harder film" for the hood and fenders. I'm not sure what that entails...

This weekend I'm also getting the tint installed, rear fenders and door edges covered with 3M.

Still no splash guards available though. My local dealer doesn't even have a par t# for them

Interesting ... my 07 came with film already on the door edges from the factory as well as in front of the rear tire.
