Heated seats....

It seems to me that our heated seats seem to take a long time to generate heat, I know that this is a fairly subjective question...but by the time I can really feel the seats, the engine is warming up and the climate control can kick out heat (which to me defeats the purpose). Some of the other cars we test drove this winter (other makes) heated up right away. So do any of you experience this issue?

I just picked up my G last wednesday and have had cold weather down here and i must say the heated seats were a big disapointment. What can be done to resolve this issue? I read on here that there is a setting you can change to make the heat up quicker that the dealer can do?

Other than that fantastic vehicle in every aspect imaginable

Everyone that is having issues with their seat heaters should send a letter to Infiniti Corporate and describe the details of the problem to them directly. My driver's seat works in low in either switch position and the passenger seat low setting heats only the seat surface and high heats only the seat's back. After writing them, I was contacted by a rep and they logged the issue. If everyone gets the issue logged with Infiniti they are going to respond with a service bulletin much quicker.

Is it "Infiniti Consumer Affairs" that you reported the issue with?

Good idea. Did you just use infiniti's website to send an e-mail? I had no idea this problem was so widespread. Should have searched.

Yeah, after reading the original big thread on it, I am very ready to write them an e-mail, so others will benefit from the bulletin. I'm taking my car in for my first service soon, so I plan to bug them about it.

What's the e-mail address?

I sent an actual letter by snail mail, I find in these situations that a paper letter is taken more seriously. Infiniti Canada doesn't have an email listed, just a phone number but Infiniti US has a webform. The address I sent to is:

Infiniti Canada
5290 Orbitor Drive
Mississauga, Ontario
L4W 4Z5

For the Canadians who would like to have a warm bum before the car warms up, go here: http://www.infiniti.ca/en/general/fo...ontact_us.html

There is no webform, so I will try to contact Infiniti using the link posted above.

*EDIT* No Canadian provinces available for selection, guess I'll have to call them :9

The passenger seat on my car is faulty. Only the back of the seat gets warm, the bottom remains cool. Add it to the fix list for the next service. Along with the whistling back window which is now kind of fixed - a little disappointed with the quality so far.

Do you know in any owner's literature where it describes what is supposed to heat on what setting? Some people think LOW only does the bottom section and HI only does the back section. I read the owners manaul and if I'm not mistaken they don't specifiy what get heated on any particular setting. I don't think my HI setting does the bottom.

I can definitely confirm that my passenger seat only heats up the bottom on low and back rest on high. It has to be a faulty thing (which is really pathetic of Infiniti to overlook) because the driver seat doesn't do that. When I have mine on high, it gets hotter than when it's on low, but both the seat and back cushions are on.
