Is the Adaptive lighting system speed sensitive on the drivers side?.

>> I know the degree of turn is different for the driver's side - speed sensitive would be a good idea, since you're most likely to be driving fast on a freeway - where you won't want to shine into oncoming traffic.

And Finally, sometimes when I shut the car off, it does this infernal beeping. As if I've left the key in the ignition, but... well... there is no key in the ignition. I vacate the vehicle as per usual but after I close and lock the door, I can't tell if it's still beeping

As for the beeping, this happens when you turn the car off after opening the door. I have no idea why this makes any difference, but for some reason it thinks you have left the key in the ignition.

Cheers,

Christian.

I've also had it start beeping at me when I turn the car off. I think I was opening the door right as I was turning off the car. It doesn't happen often enough for me to test that hypothesis though and I haven't made any particular effort to try to recreate it.

I found that it screwed up anytime i said 7 numbers (555-0000) but if I said all ten numbers (222-555-0000) then it works most every time.

Thank you for all the info, very handy indeed

I will try to use the bluetooth function with the area code and see what happens.

It beeps because you have some other door open. if you lock it after shutting all doors. it wont beep.

The following is from the Infiniti G35 manual:

"Note that the right-side low
beam headlight will swivel but the left
side will not swivel when the vehicle
is at a stop and the steering wheel is
turned. The vehicle must attain a
speed above 16 MPH (25 km/h) before
AFS activates the left-side headlight."

+1. It's stupid, because you shouldn't have to say the area code of a number that shares the area code as your cell phone number. Just say all 10 digits and you'll be fine. And don't try TOO HARD to enunciate each number. Say it with a "natural" voice. If the system still has a tough time recognizing it, go to the settings and run the tutorial that "learns" your voice.

In Northern VA at least you have to dial all 10 digits even if you're dialing your next door neighbor.

Yup, throwing in area code works, it picks up all the numbers... Pretty lame.
