That's true Wayne. My G saw snow for the first time today for 5 minutes and she wanted right back in the garage.

Nice pics, but you made poor Karen get out of the car and take the pictures?!!?

Haha, no I took those shots, by the time we got out there, it was too miserable and cold for her to take any shots when we were on the backroads.
Actually it was even worse at times than that one whiteout pic with the lights on.

Andy, Could be the same one. I was going to go to my daughters this morning (she lives 10 minutes away in the country). Well I can't go , I looked out my door and they have the big road blocks across the road, our town is locked up right now, all roads going out of town are closed with road blocks. I have one drift in my driveway over 3 feet deep .

Thanks to everyone about the nice words about my pics and the car. You can see why this is my second X. The X ROCKS

Wow, that is crazy Wayne. With weather like that, the best place to be is home and off the roads. Is it still snowing there?

Yep, she's still snowing and blowin, I can't see the street at times from my house.
Right now I'm having a break and warming up by the fire, I did my driveway once already this morning and I'm heading back out shortly to do my neighbor's driveway.

Wow, I don't know how you guys deal w/ all that snow up there. They call for a few inches here and the grocery stores are packed!

Do they plow the snow on all the roads there? Or just the main ones?

I kind of miss that. At least the area would shut down and I wouldn't have to go anywhere. I'll always remember the neighborhood Giant (grocery store) would always be out of bread. As if the world was going to come to an end.

Here it takes blizzard conditions to shut things down AND people still try to go out in those conditions.

Wow, that's some tough weather you're getting right now Wayne. You're the kind of neighbour everyone wants. Stay warm and safe.

It's supposed to be fairly cold here this week lows -15 and highs -10 or so but we've been fairly lucky with the snow. Only about 2-3 cms on the ground now but that can all change quickly in this area.

Lol, well I'm sure Calgary and its inhabitants are very, very used to it. I, on the other hand, am not.
