G35x wheels and tires?

Lots of talk about rims and tires for those RWd guys, but what about us AWD people? Anyone put on aftermarket wheels yet? I'm starting to shop but it is a little overwhelming. I haven't decided 19's or 20's yet. I think 8.5 is the widest we can go? I'm not positive of best offset yet, sounds like 35ish? Want the best fit possible. And then tire size too. Just wondering if anyone has done anything yet and what they did. Or even if they just know what they will do and what will or will not work. Maybe someone has pics. I won't even get into styles, man there is a lot out there.

This is whats going on my X.
I just set the wheel and tire beside the car to see how it will look. It's a long wait until spring gets here and I can put them on.

They are PIAA Sport Mesh in Hyper Black and are 8.5" wide. I am staying at 18", with a 42mm offset.

^^^

Wayne, I really like the combination of the platinum and the finish of those PIAA's. That is going to look really good in the summer time. Be sure to post more pics then.

Here is approximately what a 19" Axis Penta looks like on a G35x.

I've been warned that Axis are prone to breaking, a quick poll of the local enthusiasts around town haven't substantiated this however.

Nice guys. Both those styles are along the lines of what I like, more of the multispoke, or mesh style. I've got a few picked out, just seeing what will work. Thanks for the pics. Hopefully we'll get some more input.!

Thanks Alex , I will definitely post pics when they are on, and yes I was very pleased as to how the wheel & car colour look together.

Andy, I think they would look awesome on your car.

One quick question. For G35x, should we stick with non-staggard or is staggard ok?

Exactly, they say you should run the same size front and back because it could cause problems with the Attesa AWD system.

What's your opinion of these? And does anyone know what the ideal offset would be? 19 or 20" 8.5 wide. G35x wheels and tires?-multisilver-1-.jpg

I think the top wheel would look sweet on your G! They might be a PITA cleaning them, but they would look hot nonetheless.

Factory 18's on X?

Since I am getting an X with the factory 17's, can the factory 18's fit on the X or are these difference size tires front and back? If so, could I use the front or back tires 18" on the X?

If I have to have the same size front and back, I have a buddy at Les Swabb and he will probably be getting alot of factory 18's. If teh front and back are are different sizes on the non-X (and I need to keep them the same), perhaps there will be two people that will trade theirs in for some upgraded aftermarket.
