I'm feel like I'm getting too old to rent spring compressors and crawl under a car on sitting jack stands now .

As I've noticed in the forums ... there are several owners who are ready to lower their cars. This may or may not work, but how about a plan to just get a bunch of us to a shop for volume pricing on spring install and 4 wheel alignments?

For those interested, please post up and let us know if you've found a place. Maybe the rest of us will go too. I have one in mind in Glendale that I've use many times in the past and can do the whole thing, but I want to check with them on pricing first.

Remember ... there is stength in numbers!

Too bad you're not closer to SanDiego, i'd do the spring install and 4-wheel alignment for $100.

Well, wait a minute now ... maybe everyone wouldn't mind a big G35 cruise from LA to SD for a good cause!

haha, i can only do one car a night at my work for that price. If i could, i'd rent out the shop from my work and do 10 cars (spring install and alignment) in 8 hours.

To me it's a big plus to use someone that really knows the car.

Gotta key to get in on a Sunday? (Just had to ask)

I agree, i learned first on my car, then moved on to do a couple other members cars. I've done my car twice, extreme4377's car twice and i'll be doing ahero4eternity's car soon.

i might be able to do it, if you're at the next meet i'll have to measure how low your kenstyle front is from the ground, it might not fit on my machine, but we'll see. It'd be $55 for a 4 wheel alignment and it'll take about 30 mins.

What do you guys think is a fair price to have my local Nissan dealer (or other shop) to install my H&R springs, put the new wheels (already mounted / balanced) on, and do an alignment?

Thanks!

I've wondered the same thing. Only one way to find out. I'll try to call a dealership besides the one I bought my car from to see if they'll give me a quote.

I did the same, I stopped by the local Nissan dealer and asked, they are supposed to call me back sometime today. Unfortunately, I live an hour from the nearest Infiniti dealership...
