I did the EXACT same thing! I had an 05' Coupe AT/Prem. and traded it a week ago on an 07 Sedan. So far, NO regrets. The new sedan is noticably more powerful and fun to drive. I havent been able to drive it tooo hard yet b/c its still got less than 600 mi and bad weather, I did however manage to blow a new mustang away last night on a backroad headed to my parents house. It still had the sticker in the window, I didnt think to check if it was a GT until it was too late. Back to the topic- I am 25 and so far my buddies all seem to like the Sedan better, especially for when we go out etc. The gf also likes the sedan much more for its comfort and ease to get in and out of. I stuck with the AT b/c I have had 4 knee surgeries, the last on Jan 2. So, far, I have no regrets....

You have to be careful on the highway etc at first, this car is soo much smoother and quieter that you will not realize how fast your actually going. When you test drive it, I would suggest watching the speedo and not trusting your gut on your speed. I had a very tough time keeping it under 90 on the interstate the night I drove mine home from the dealer.... Let us know how the test drive goes and let me know if you have any questions!

2004 6MT Coupe owner - Hand Raised.

3 and half years with the coupe, over 40K miles, and time to start a family

It's 07 Sedan time!

I'm a former S2000 driver .. making it to the sedan world, and would only do so for the 2007 G sedan Sport (yet to order). I wouldn't settle for anyhting less.

Actually, from what I've read the new sedan compares favorably with the GT. Equal to or better in 0-60 and 1/4 mile depending on your sources. Not sure about handling, but that's never been a mustang's strong suit. Mustang Cobra SVT? Yeah, that's still measurably faster.

(never driven the latest GT so I can't speak to butt dyno, I'm just going off what I've read)

2003 6MT Coupe to 2007 Sport 5AT Sedan

I really enjoy my 2003 6MT Coupe, but a couple of things were really starting to irritate me. I drive my 8 and 10 year old kids around a lot, so I have to get out of the coupe everytime to let them in and out of the car. Then when I get back in I have adjust the manual seatback lever a couple of times to get it back to my driving position. My wife has the uncanny ability to always call my cell phone as I am driving on local streets with a lot of shifting, and usually when I haven't put on my bluetooth headset. I need one hand for the steering wheel, one for the shifter, one for the phone. I need to grow another hand. If I do have the bluetooth on my ear, I get no calls! The navigation in the 2003 was not touch screen and a real pain to use compared to my wife's Acura MDX.

So now I'm in a new 2007 Sport 5AT Sedan and really enjoying the voice nav with bluetooth. The paddle shifters are a lot of fun as well. And it's so nice to just pull up and have the kids hope out of the back seat and off I go!

No regrets!

By the way if you want my Coupe look here:

my review of the 07 sedan, i thought i would wait until this weekend to test drive n look at the car but i couldnt wait so i left work early to the nearest dealer lol.
let me start with the pros, the sedan looks amazing in person and it has a very unique style compare to the older version. interior is great as well and the navi is must get in this car. i took the car around couple blocks and the sales man told me to gun it so i can feel the engine. i did so and i was really impress . the shifting is really smooth compare to the coupe( my friend has a 6mt, bro has 350 6mt so i know how the manual feels) suprising shifting from 1>2>3 it felt really smooth unlike the older year. suspension felt stift but not harsh at all, jus perfect. handles real well too even though i didnt take hard turn i can still feel the car is capable of doing so.
now on to the cons. i dont like the seat much. it doesn't hold me down like the coupe. i tried adjusting it but i couldnt get it to hug me nicely( im not that big btw 5'7) my friend was on the pasenger along with the ride and he too felt something about the seat is not right. compare to my coupe the sedan seat felt it needed some work.
the navi is great the sound system has to go, i read a few thread about how the this system isnt what most people say it is and you know what their right! the sound system blows, i can make a better system under a few hundred bucks.
one more thing, i ask the dealer if the rear seats folds down and he thought it did but it clearly did not. we tried it but looks like only the middle part folds down not the whole seat. this sucks cause on the coupe the whole seat folds down and i cant imagine why infiniti would not do so on this one.
all in all the 07 sedan is a great family car, has alot of cool features with the navi n tech package. i would rate this car 7.5 outta 10.
if i time this weekend i will head there again n do another run but on the fwy this time. hopefully things will change. thx for reading

Did you take out the Sport version or a Journey? The sport seats are quite different than in the Journey since they have power side bolters, thigh extension, etc. The sport seats are on par with the Coupe seats as far as support and comfort.....IMO.

As far as the SOW is concerned, it doesn't blow. It just doesn't suit your listening style. You probably like it with tons of bass rather than a live music type environment.

Good luck on your second test drive. If you didn't take a Sport the first time, make sure you do on the second.

Couldn't have said it better. When I read your opinions about the seats, the first thing that jumped to my mind was "he probably drove the journey or AWD models".

If this is correct, you must go back there and sit in a Sport model - it's a day and night difference. I have a coupe and the 07 seats in the sport model surpass even mine.

Give it another shot.

I am not sure what it was, black with white stripes... He passed me on solid yellow lines while I was cruising about 65 on a back road. That wasnt going to fly, so, I knocked over into manual mode, downshifted, and pegged it. Retook the lead pretty quickly. The mustang still had a sales sticker in the window, I did see that. I couldn't quite read the sticker price though, haha.

I think our cars could hold their own with a GT as well though. Its turning out right at 300 horses out of a 4.6L V8. Unless they have made some HUGE improvements they have horrible traction and handling- I might have to find out how it would go soon!

thx for the advice guys, im pretty sure the one i test drove was the sport version. doesnt all 6mt comes in sport only? i just check their website and journey only comes in auto, i might be wrong though.
the seat didnt felt right, maybe cause i didnt do too much adjusting to it. i did remember seeing the bolters and thigh extension. i think im trying to say is the coupe seats feel slightly larger than the sedan.
about the system, sorry i should take it back. it doesnt blow lol. but it isnt all that great either. but it is far superior than the old sedan or the coupe, so yes it is an improvement but not what i expected.
