Birdview question on the nav

I like the birdview, but what I don't like, are the gridlines. Is there any way to turn those off? It throws me off at times b/c it can be confused with a street. It just clutters up the map.

I think they are there to keep your perception of the map in proportion. When you're looking at anything in an angle (such as the birdview map), things in the distance tend to get skewed. I think the grid lines are there to keep your orientation in check.

With that said, I agree. Not having them would be cleaner.
