this deal good?

just got off the phone with infiniti of santa monica, california. spoke to one of the sales person there and i ask him for the price of 07 sedan 6mt, premium, navi and tech.
msrp $38650.00
invoice $35146.00
i told him i was a returning customer, i did purchase my car from them back in 05.
price he gave me $36600.00
about 2000 under msrp, and 1450 over invoice
is this deal good? or i can do better. not looking to buy yet so i can wait.
also i wasnt haggling with him on the price, i just ask him what i want and stated im a returning customer, give me a good price. no more than 5 mins on the phone with him.
btw why is the 6mt less expensive than the auto? the only difference is the tranny right? thx for reading

It's about what I got. I just purchased today (G35x, Obsidian Black / Stone / Aluminum, Premium, Nav), and paid $2000 below sticker. It was one off the lot, which probably helped in the negotiations. The dealer did say the Nav units are getting really popular, he only had three in stock, and most of the nav-equipped cars coming in (not even on the lot yet) are already sold.

You can definitely get a better deal. I purchased mine a little over a month ago for $36K OTD. If I got $2000 off MSRP for a Sport 6mt with just the premium you can probably get even a bigger discount. I opted for only the premium since I would never use nav and rarely parallel park. I know LA like the back of my hand and a skilled enough driver not having to rely on a camera to park.

Good deal.

You probably can find a better deal, but anything below MSRP is good.

Thanks! Can't wait. Only 28 hours to go, not that I'm counting.

Naturally, the obligatory pics will be posted shortly thereafter.
