gas spilling?

I filled up for the second time today. I set the gas pump on the auto lock thing and wait for it to click. It clicks, I pull it out and jiggle it to get the excess off and then it starts gushing out!!! Not alot but enough to spill onto the qtr panel. Has this happen to anyone else? Not sure exactly what happen.

Was debatign whether to wash the car or not but that made my decision easy. Spent the next 2 hours washing and claying that spot to get the reside off

Actually it left a stain. I had to rub quite hard w/ the clay to get it out.

Gas poured out!

Happened to me too. Set the handle and did not click off. Not sure if the cold had anything to do with it. Was -5 F at the time. Gas poured down the side of the car. At the time a poured water down the side of the car. Next day I washed the side with soap and water.

The gas cap strap screw snapped also! This is bad design. New screw can be used to fix. Don't turn you gas cap too much.

Question

hey my gas overflowed on me when i was at the gas station, I think it was the particular pump because i have left the pump in the car before and the gas stopped like it was suppose too. I do not know it the car has antyhing to do with the Auto-stop feature on the gas pump???

If so it seems that I am not the only one that has experienced this problem.

Recall in the making?????????

It happened to me once. I just go and wash the car afterwards.
