My intelligent key experience

Being so cold here lately, I must ask:
Since the car does not have a remote starter, can you turn the engine on, and lock the car from the outside using the button on the door handle (keys are with you OUTSIDE the car), then come back and unlock the car, again, using the door handle button?

Yes, it can. It is also the way that I have been using...
Be sure to check that door really locks before you go back
into your house..

So, after buying the 07 sedan last week, I finally got a chance to drive the car around all day on Sunday for my annual Chinese New Year family festivities. And, I have to say.....I LOVE the intelligent key. No more reaching in my pocket when I exit or enter my car. Since I have memory seats linked to the keyfob, I don't have to readjust the mirrors after parallel parking since I always turn down the side mirror next to the curb when I parallel park to avoid curb rash.
God, I LOVE my new car!!!! My only gripe would be the fact that the car doesn't have the automatic turn-down side mirrors when in reverse and that the factory floor mats are pretty cheapy and flimsy.

You were guessing, weren't you?
Yidster:
Be careful, you can lock the fob in if you tuck your bag into the corner in just the right spot in the trunk (pass. side, forward).
There are also places in the interior far enough from all the sensors that you can lock the fob into. It would be interesting to
know if battery strength affects the signal strength. It's supposed to be idiot-proof, but they keep underestimating us idiots.
