Which medium do you use more? - a poll

Music box or CF card

I know some if not most of you, use both in combination. But if you were to simply vote which one you find more useful....

I use CF card probably 80% of the time, and the MB 20% of the time.

CF is more useful to me since all of my CD's are already ripped to my computer. IF Infiniti would update the software to allow transfer of the files from the CF card to the HD, I would definitely do that and use the hard drive, particularly if the genre and other feature sorting worked on uploaded files...

LOL Good one!

I just started using the MB to record a couple of new CDs I purchased. I've also been burning alot of mp3s to disc and using those a lot.

Yeah, with MB, CF, AUX, and XM, I have no use for the 6 disc changer in the trunk. The one in the console is only good for ripping CD's too.

Wave of the future I guess.

Daniel, just pick yourself up a couple of 2Gb CF cards and you'll be good to go.

Shane, what bitrate do you use to rip CDA?

The only gripe I might have with 2GB cards is the compromise of quality over size.... Obviously, higher quality means less songs on the card. I'm tempted to dump the $$$ and get an 8GB card. I don't feel like carrying 3-4 cards...

What do you think?

For the most part Daniel, I use 192kbps for the bitrate. Just an FYI before you run out and get an 8GB CF card, it will only list and play the first 512 songs on your CF card, so getting an 8GB CF card may not be practical. Check out pages 3 &4 of this thread.

I got two 2GB CF cards and it holds more music than I could ever want.

Wow, good to know about the 512 songs limit.

Ok, 2GB x 2 = SOLD.
