You may want to consider adding a spacer in the back to move the wheel/tire closer to the fender and fill out the space giving it a "wider" look.

Should look nice when you lower it too.
I think they should look the same front and back since right now my Journey has the same 17 inch wheels front and back, at least of hope they are the same. I don't think they would make two wheels with the same width but different offset. According to a previous link the 7.5 inch 17's are 45mm as are the 7.5 inch 18's (I know that makes sense ). If the hubs are spaced the same front and back my wheel will actually be 13.5 mm farther out on the outside and 13.5 mm closer on the inside not 5mm as I previously said. Therefore I'll be about 1/2" wider then the current set up both front and back with the 8.5" / 45mm offset. If I'm doing bad math someone let me know. I'd hate to install them then be upset they are hanging out too far. I saw others try to justify there incorrect offset purchase then go into denial and I don't want that to happen to me.

I’ve heard people say 35 to 38mm offset on 8.5”er’s is the sweet spot. I think that would stick out too far, but I really don’t know. What is the general consensus a little bit more wheel showing on the outside is a better look?

look forward to seeing how these end up looking.

Hope i'm not taking this OT but what's the what's possible as far as width's on the front with 20s?
I think Hikos had 8.5 width on the front of his and railgunner had 8.5s (19s though). Is 8.5 in the front the max as far as the G35s?

The largest so far in the forums is 8.5" front and 10" rear.

Is there a difference between G35s and non-S for the front wheel setup? I have the base model and I want to get 18" x 8.5 for both front and back, with either 235 or 245 tire. Do you guys see any fitment problem?

Your set-up is 45mm offset front and back and 7.5" wide.
The sport is 45mm x 7.5" wide front, rear is 50mm x 8.5" wide.

The main problem is the front. The offset is 50mm on the 8.5 sport wheel, so it might be tucked in too far so you might have to run spacers on the front.

GEE35X,

I am looking at the ADR M-Sprot rim that is 19" x 8.5 with 35mm offset. It shouldn't be a problem with inner clearance, but I am not sure if it will stick out over the fender or not. It sticks out 23mm compare to the stock 17" rim. I probably need to mearsure it. Do you think it will rub if I do a full turn? The back should fit with this rim size, right?

I think you will be ok in the front but the rears will be pushed out quite a bit, I think it also depends on the tire size and type. I think ideally 38-42mm are a good fit for 8.5" rims front and back.
Why don't you give our site Wheel guru (Chico) a PM. Thats what I would do, he is the most knowledgeable wheel and tire fitment person that I know, and is also willing to help out.
