Thumbs up Behind the wheel -updated with pics.

After lurking around on these boards for a few weeks, I finally became a G35 owner myself tonight. I tried the usual suspects (IS 350, C230, 335) and just found myself comparing all of them to the G. So it was all set in my mind, just had to wait until the time was right...

My trip to the dealer started out innocent enough (don't they all??) and I wound up driving out in my new G.

07 G35S 5AT
  • Liquid Platinum/Graphite
  • Premium package
  • Cargo net

The only thing I had to negotiate out was the window etching and pinstripe removal (ewwwwwwwww ). Why would anyone do this to a car with the lines of the G???? All said and done I got out of there for $500 over invoice.

The funny thing is that the sales manager kept telling me and my wife "We never sell these at these price, never" it reminded me of the Rick James skit on the Chappelle show "...but I put my feet up on his couch..."

I'll post some pics tomorrow when the camera is charged. Can't wait for the break in period to be over!!!

Congratulations! One thing that I love about the Liquid Platinum is the car looks great, even when the car isn't freshly washed & waxed.

Thanks guys. I snapped a few pics this morning but unfortunately this would have to be on the only morning this week that wasn't bright and sunny! Guess that means that I'll have to dedicate some time this weekend to getting some Zaino on the G.

That's a great negotiated price! Makes me regret paying so much over invoice back in Nov... But it was worth the extra 4 months of fame when no one else had this car.

True...everything is a tradeoff, I'm sure at the end of the model year I'll be saying the same thing to those getting better deals.

Good to see one more NC owner and that too LP. Enjoy your new car. I have had mine since November and love every minute of driving it.

Updated with some pics. I'll snap a few more next week after the pinstripe is removed.

LOVE IT!!
And yes... good decision to remove the pinstripe.
Did someone order it and then cancel?
Still trying to figure out WHY a dealer would add that.
