They are awesome, and came with lots of recommendations.

there is no gap in my install, just a seam I believe.

they also use Venture products, not 3M - they claim it has less orange peel look and less chance of yellowing...

pics to follow, they are in the camera at home, I am at work!
Thanks! I'll show them to the installer. They did a decent job correcting all the sloppy work that they did initially, but the gap is still there. It's pretty small (1/4 inch, now), so I'll probably just live with it and ask them to put a piece in the gap to fill it so I can see how it looks. If I don't like it, I'll just take my chances with that little gap.

Well, my install isn't the best reference since I got a great discount because my car was fairly late arriving.

I paid $300.00.

The location he is describing should be easy to pull together. And even if there was major "orange peeling" down there, it probably wouldn't matter.

IMO, it would be more work for the installer, but I'd opt for fewer cut lines.
There is some orange peel in the film before install. Ventureshield is typically better than 3M in this regard. Either way, stretching the film exaggerates the OP. But you're right, on anything but black OP on the bottom lip won't be a big deal anyway.

What are people paying?

A certified installer here in Columbus quoted me $299 for hood, mirrors, fenders; wanted another $399 for the front bumper. Of course, that seems obnoxiously high but he claimed the front bumper was a ton of work. I need to do more research, but what are others paying?
