Climate control resets?

I noticed that if I turn the climate control off, the next time i turn it back on, the temp stays but the speed and mode changes to low speed and foot only. Anyone else experience this? Any way to get it to remember your settings?

Are you talking about auto mode? And how long is the wait before you turn the climate system back on? Overnight?

If you are talking about turning on the car first thing in the morning, perhaps it's just the auto climate control sensing a cooler interior temp than what it's set at, and simply doing its job by heating (hence the foot only)...?

why would you turn off the system? just hit auto and never touch it as long as you own the car.

It would happen immediatly after I turn it On/Off. I guess maybe when it's in auto mode, it starts off at low speed and will ramp up as neccessary. I just didn't feel the air when I first turned it on so figured it reset.

Do you guys leave the A/C on? doesn't that use up more electricity?

It's supposed to start out slow, otherwise it would just blow cold air in your face and that isn't much fun in the morning. As for the AC you really only need it on when you are using defrost or cooling the car, but I don't know if there is any real benefit in terms of efficiency to be had by turning it off. I turn it off when ever I notice that I don't need it, but then when I use defrost it turns back on and I usually forget about it.
