Track session - PICS!!

Here's the link to the pics from the Grubbs road course session; these are the best ones of me and my car (well, of my car anyway... , the entire session is viewable too. It's the 2.26.07 one.

It looks like there is a Non-Sport G35 in those pics. By any chance did you notice if it had a hard time keeping up with you? Or if there was a significant difference in distance between you two in the turns or straits?

He kept up, but at the end of the session he had a TON of brake dust on his wheels compared to the two sports. Another guy with a non-sport said he had trouble in the turns with traction, but that could've been just a driver thing - none of us are pros.

The other sport driver and I were commenting on how well the paddles worked, they were perfect on the course. He tried DS the first run, paddles the second run, and said they really helped.

Looks like a lot of fun!! What's with the special jumpsuits? I assume they're for "show" and not special flame-retardant suits in case someone decides to simulate NASCAR racing in their G?

No, they're actually racer flame-retardant suits. Which are probably partly to add to the atmosphere, but the pro put on his helmet and suit when he went at full-speed. And if you think about it, even if the odds are against someone clipping the edge and somehow flipping, it makes sense to minimize injury.

The 03 G35 Coupe is crappy though. Geesh. Nice comment.
