Can you hear a tick in this video?

I can't either but I could swear I could when I filming this... maybe I'm just loosing it. I can't hear it unless the cars in the garage either. If it's outside, I can't hear it. Was sure it would have been plain as day on this video. Don't want to drive 20 miles to dealership to have them tell me I'm crazy.

It actually sounds pretty good in the clip. Snarly little beast

The "ting" sound around 13-14s is not the car, it's the garage light tripping off.

Actually, I think I hear a tick right at the 14 second mark. Maybe it's just me though.

Nah, that "ting" sound around 13-14s is the timer on the garage light turning it off.

Our engines aren't completely silent....I'll bet you hear the tick of the fuel injectors. It's quite distinct and sounds just like lifter noise....

Here's one more clip. I can't hear it in this one either but again, I could when I was making the clip. Sounds kind of like that rattle/ticking sound you hear in an idling diesel pickup truck engine but not nearly as loud. Maybe it's just the echo in the garage or something or like some have said, the fuel injectors.

I have owned two Nissans. A '97 Hardbody pickup and the Titan I own now.

BOTH make a faint ticking noise at idle. With the Hardbody being my first Nissan, I thought it was an abnormal noise but I just got used to it. The truck ran great. Not even a miss in 7 years of ownership.

When I noticed the Titan making the same noise when it was brand new, I just wrote it off as a characteristic of Nissan engines.

Although the clarity of your download is not the same as what you are hearing first hand, to me it sounds like a similar noise.

Maybe a certified Nissan/Infiniti mechanic can set your mind at ease with an explanation

Does it continue when you rev it slightly while idling? Any increase in RPMs caused my tick to subside.

I don't hear a tick. If I hear anyting at all it sounds like ever so slight "idle surge." (As a former DSM owner, we are quite use to that) If you hadn't said anything I probably wouldn't have noticed.
