Sorry about the accident. From your description, the 300C should cover it all under their insurance and make sure they pay for a rental while yours is in the shop. So who got the worst of it in a 300C vs G35S?

Glad you walked away. Unfortunately, it's not the cost of the repair ... it's the availability of parts. Earlier wrecks are barely starting to get fixed.

I got hit 12/12. Rear ended. New rear crumple rails, new trunk floor, bumper cover, new exhaust, muffler and tips, no actual body damage.

Got my car back 2 months later. Dealer has it overnight right now to fix the rear view camera which was damaged in the accident. Still missing two plastic clips. The body shop also still has to adjust the bumper cover, adjust the exhaust tips and figure out why my trunk doesn't open and close quite right.

The main problem was getting parts. Don't know if yours is damaged enough to total, but if it's not, hope you don't have to wait as long as I did.

Damn man that sucks! Glad to hear that everyone walked away, at the end of the day as much as we love them, they are only machines and are repairable/replaceable.

That said, I still would have given the other driver a real hard time....

My condolences to your beautiful G. If it's damaged enough, I hope you just get a new one. People are right: parts are too scarce, if they're even available. It took me 4 months to get a damn bottle of touch up paint. 6MT Carpet mats are still on backorder. It's pathetic.

PM me if you want me to host the pics for you.

oneformula,

I know exactly how you feel. I didn't smash up my G, but as a result of a really freaky accident, my car too is now in for repairs.

Check out my thread - https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/142796-if-wasn-t-bad-luck-i-would-have-no-luck-all.html. I have also posted pictures of the damage.

In the intreim, don't let it get you down - at least you walked away. That's the most important thing of all!

Regards,
