I pulled the car into a near by parking lot and got to look at the damage, hearing scraping all the way there. I got out and threw up a little, sat in my car for a few minutes in silence at a loss for words, I bent some of the metal off my wheel to drive home and dropped my friend off. Depressing night...so yeah some **** happened
OMG, Kraq, I feel for ya .

Hmm that does not look too bad Either! WOW, so funny how just the Fender got pretty much Mangled, and it never touched the Headlight or Hood! But that looks like I would say 1000-1500 G's worth of work. And maybe Suspension parts plus a Rim. and add a 4 Wheel Alignment as well. As long as the Feder Apron behind it did not get bent, then the $$$ would go up! And I am not sure how much Infinity parts are, but thats a roughf Guess of the Amount of Damage. Good Luck with repairing the new G! And Glad u did not get Hurt!

update to my situation....

my assigned insurance inspector cat is an idiot... wreck Monday after work... parts FINALLY ordered this afternoon due to his delays.

parts come in MAYBE next Thursday.

how long to install? 10-12 days estimate... BUSINESS DAYS!!!

so... because of Michigan law... my $750 becomes $250 because my state's "no fault" law will get $500 from the person at fault(!)...

so, NOT MY FAULT, OTHER PERSON GETS THE TICKET.... but i'm out (1) $250 deductible net, (2) cost of loaner car for 12 Business days (2.5 weeks), (3) many phone calls/day this week, (4) and ruined my mood for 4 1/2 days because of the headaches and my NEW CAR is smashed by SOME ONE ELSE that doesn't have to be accountable!!!

I wouldn't worry about color matching. I had about $6300 in rear end damage and I can't tell the difference between the replaced painted parts and the rest of the car on my blue slate.

http://www.moonteeth.com/~dopey/g35damage/

For some pics on the damage to my car. 768 and 769 show the damage to the rear crumple rails. I didn't take pics of the damage to the trunk floor but it's basically the same type of crumpling. The entire rear end of of the internal floor structure was replaced all the way up to the rear seat.

In case you're wondering why 776 has dirt in the right exhaust, it was dragging on the ground after being hit. The body shop guys bent the exhaust back up, and the bumper back into place so they could drive it around their shop. The right bumper was actually grinding against my rear right wheel right after the accident.

All said and done, 6300 in damages, 2 months worth or rental cars and going on 3 months worth of chiropractor visits.

Just to answer this thread, I'm pretty sure I'm the first person to smash up an '07 G35 as mine occurred 12/12. Not really something to be proud/happy of though .

20yo college girl in a 2001 red grand am going roughly 30-35mph. I was stopped at a red light. Smacked right into me. The G is more or less back to new. I just had the bumper cover adjusted so the seams match up and had the exhaust tips readjusted so they're even. The backup camera just came in last week and got repaired, for some odd reason the backup camera was knocked out by the hit even though there was no damage to the trunk. The body shop is still trying to get the trunk latch adjusted just right. Everything works right, but the trunk needs a good slamming to get closed. I can't close the trunk by pressing down on the lid against the latch like I could before it got hit, and like I can with the new cars on the dealer lot.
