Shifting Auto Transmission to DS mode has a lot of features
One thing to note on manual mode, the gear numbers are displayed on the LCD screen when you're shifting with the paddle or shifter. The DS and D modes don't. I wish Infiniti enabled gear number display on all modes.

If you don't want to shift manually either with the shifter or paddles, DS mode is a lot of fun.

Is there a difference between moving the shifter to the left as oppose to simply being in Drive and then engaging DS by using the paddles? (as oppose to moving the shifter to the left first).

If the gear number were displayed, neither would be necessary.

I know you really don't know for sure what gear D has you in, but as a general guide, D seems to put you in 5th gear any time your doing more then 40 mph, 20-40 mph is 4th gear.

If you engage your paddles, you are in full manual mode meaning that it will hold whatever gear you are in until you shift again. (but it in MM it will downshift for you if you don't manually downshift yourself) Make sense?

Thanks Shane.
