Just learned more about Bluetooth issue...

Don't know if anyone yet posted something like the following, but it is relevant to anyone with an '07 Sedan with Nav who has had trouble with voice dialing...

When I picked up my '07 G35 Sport with Premium/Nav, the Phone Dial voice command would simply not work at all. I'd sit in the car and try it many, many times and every time the car would either lose digits or the number would have nothing to do with the number I spoke. Nobody at the dealership could get it to correctly hear a phone number either. Note that when I was in a loaner M35, the voice dial worked perfectly for me.

My problem was recorded and a replacement Bluetooth module ordered. Today, I called for an update on the part's arrival and just learned from my dealer that Infiniti corporate is aware of a problem, and that it seems to only be applicable to '07s that have Navigation. It is not certain whether a physical replacement of the Bluetooth module will be required, or merely a software upgrade.

Wow, thanks for the update. Good to be aware of it should it doesn't work.

I just love the voice dial, it is so easy and much safer when you are on the road. I also used it today while driving to and from the mini-meet.

Same here - no issues...
Maybe an early build date? Possibly a group of systems with specific serial numbers are wonkie.
Keep us posted and I hope you sort it out - it is a fantastic system.

I thought that there was something wrong with mine, then I tried saying the full ten digit phone number including area code and it worked fine.

Nothing worked for me...6 digits, 10 digits, grouping the numbers, etc.

Should be interesting to see how they implement a software upgrade.

No problem with the voice dialing here.. just the issue with voicetags disappearing every 6-8 weeks.

That's interesting Christian, when I call a local number I don't have to include the area code. It dials fine by saying the 7 digit phone number.

Hmm, that is strange. Is there anyone else that can dial by saying only the local 7 digit phone number?

Yes, I can dial with just the 7 digit local number.

However, I've got another problem now. After pairing my car with a friend's phone, I found my phone couldn't pair with the car anymore, and I had to delete and re-pair. But after doing that, voice-dialing causes it to automatically insert a 2 first!!! I remember reading a thread about that...now if only I could find that thread again.... gah!

Oh nevermind! I found that thread
