anything better than my Jeep V8 is good. I was gettin 10mpg on that beast. Try hitting the gas on that, no matter how hard you hit the pedel it seems the gas just keeps goin down.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was just making sure that everything was all good with my G. I was comparing to my brother's TL and he runs at about 2200 rpms at 70 mpg and gets much better gas mileage. I guess it is fine to give that away that battle given that the G is much faster.

high rpms as opposed to low rpms will def give worse gas milleage. I get mad when people even say that. Besides the obvious combustion factor, there is more resistance on the car to maintain the speed you are at therfore you have to give more gas to keep the pace.

pretty sick that the 06 chevy mailbu rental car they stuck me in like 3 months ago (absolute piece of ****) did 75-80 mph at 2k rpms with that 4 speed tranny gm throws in there.
