Verizon Phone Users: Bluetooth phonebook question
I can pair my phone, but cannot transfer my contacts from my phonebook. I visited http://www.infiniti.com/bluetooth/ and it shows my device is not capable of transfering my phonebook.
Has anyone successfully transferred their phonebook with Verizon Wireless? If so, which phone do you have?
If not, anyone know why? What's disabled by Verizon?

I have the Motorola Q on Verizon Wireless and I'm able to transfar contacts using bluetooth. The issue I have is trying to transfer them all at once. I can move a single entry, but I'm having problems getting them all over into the G.

I have the LG VX8600 through Verizon and I can't transfer my entire phonebook. I tried transferring one at a time and that didn't work either. If anyone has a tip for that phone, I would greatly appreciate it.

Either way, on my phone, I goto my Contacts, and then I click on Options/Menu and one of the choices is "Send via Bluetooth"

If so, I'll buy a gsm phone and transfer all my contacts over.
That way, everytime I make/receive a call I will see my contact's name and number.

I also have the LG VX8600 with Verizon and have similar problems. When I first paired the phone to the system it told me in the car that the connection was unsuccessful. However, everytime I get in the car the phone connects so I am happy with that. I tried to transfer the phone contacts and it didn't let me as well. You get 40 phonebook entries for each person on the car (you can switch up to 3 phones) so that makes it nice that you are not limited to just 40 total - each person can have their 40. I have just been entering them a few at a time and figure that will be a nice backup if I ever lose or damage my phone. My wife has the same phone from Verizon and it does the exact same thing so I know that it is not my particular phone.
On a side note, we just had Sirius installed in her SUV and she really likes the bluetooth in the G so I asked the guys at the store about bluetooth and they have kits they sell and install to add bluetooth to a car. The guy at the store asked me what kind of phone I have and who is my carrier. As soon as I told him Verizon he told me they have had lots of bluetooth problems with Verizon phones and he didn't recommend it. Hearing that, we passed and figured that had the same to do with the G.
In May, our 2-years is up so we can get new phones. I am trying to get a phone that is listed as compatible with the G on Infiniti's web site. Since the cell phone companies release news phones all the time and the software for the G is already 6 months old do you think Inifiniti is going to release software updates for the system to keep up with the phones that are coming out? Does anyone have a link where they might post these updates?

I have a Q also and can only transfer one number at a time. If I want to keep a number, I have to then transfer it to the 40 on board memory slots to keep it from being erased if I transfer another number. It's easier to manually enter to the 40 buckets and use the phone to call any of the others.
I programmed mine's manually...Realisitcally, I only talk to maybe 5 - 10 people in my contacts on a daily basis. The others I can just dial from my phone as needed. I know that there has to be people like me that have numbers on there phone that they never call but have them there in the off chance they need to call that person someday. :-) Again, I know alot of you have 100 people you talk to daily, so I see where this can be annoying.
