My Acura dealer is only 15 minutes away.
Dropping the MDX off for oil changes, I was given full day loaner TL's (including a Type-S) 4 different times.

Even though my closest Infiniti dealer is 75 minutes away, I had to go with the G.
One test drive and I was sold.
The G has it all over everything else in it's price range.

I also opted for Splash Guards.
I like the look of the car better with them than without.
Hopefully, they're functional as well!
I seriously thought of the TL as well. But as soon as I got on the G35, there was no question. Also, my Acura dealer is also an hour away.

Anyway, I'm getting the splash guards as well. This must be the first car I've owned where I got all the possible options one could get (at least those that are offered for the G35x). ... maybe one more thing ... the small cargo net they have in Canada, if I can figure out where to get it from.

Alot of the color 07 splash guards are on back order.... as well as the charcoal all weather floor mats... plus Infiniti also had a problem with the part numbers for the carpeted mats for 07...

We have some colors instock and are having good luck getting the 07 splash guards in quickly even though they are on back order...

They seem to be functional, as they help block debris from kicking up at the sides, at least from my experience.

Can the splash guards be purchased/installed afterwards or do they need to be ordered and installed at the time of purchase?

Splash guards for the G35 X will be the same as all non-sport applications...

If you have the sport side sills then you will require the sport front splash guards...

rear splash guards are the same for all non sport and sport models...

What's the procedure like for installing them? Just drilling some holes in plastic, or something more severe?

Mike, I installed them myself and they were very easy to install. The splashguards come with templates that show you where to drill the holes. I posted a couple of pictures here.

Yeah, that looks simple enough. I was just wondering if it was only plastic that needed to be drilled or metal. I wouldn't want to make any holes in metal for obvious reasons. BTW, your detail pictures look great. Gotta get me a PC, I wa snotice swirls in my Blue Slate this morning. :-(
