I like my 6mt transmission but it is a bit to noisy at times. Sounds like something is going to explode!

Test drove the sport auto. Not at all what I expected. Yeah, the paddle shifters were nice but there was a noticeable delay between shifts. The smoothest manumatic tranny I've driven was the 2.0 L turbocharged Audi A3. Man, that car is smooth. So, back on topic...I LOVE my 6mt.

5AT sport here...transmission feels excellent, but I haven't really pushed the car yet, now the car I test drove that's another story.

Wow, there are actually more MT owners than AT. That's surprising to see on the sedan forum.

Ohhh, you guys are funny. I'm loving it now that I can actually drive it.

And yep, Dan, you've gone and done it. Big Brother has his eye on you.

This is my first auto car in 5+ years, I am shocked I like it so much! This auto does it all right, I find that my biggest compliment is the transimission, it more or less does what I would do only with out thinking.

Luv the paddles, have not experienced the shift delay others have described. And blipping the throttle on downshifts works great too.

My experience, with the AT Sport paddles, is that the more tentative you are the more tentative the tranny feels- as though the sensors and transmission are debating your intentions. Go for it and it snaps shifts up and down with no hesitation.
