Tires:
Eagle RS-A 225/55R17 V Rated All Season
Wheels:17" x 7.5" +45mm
I don't know what the offsets were for the first gen, but as long as the wheels are not staggered I suspect that they will fit.

I've been thinking about it but I don't have anywhere to store another set of tires, I already have winters and all seasons to deal with. I'm going to wait until I wear out the RS-As.Originally Posted by sjharris

i didn't get winter ones this year and the car handled great (although we didn't get a lot of snow). to take that furthur, i have never owned snow tires. do they make a huge difference?
i think i may get a nice set of summer tires as now i have a hosue to store the all seasons in.

I took delivery on November 23rd and had the RS-As on until around the first week of December (I think) and I found that on snow, slush and ice stopping distance was noticeably shorter. I'm glad I bought dedicated winters, especially in a city that thinks plowing the streets is too expensive.Originally Posted by sjharris

I looked at the info on tirerack. The survey results are pretty poor for this tire.

260 A A - it will wear out pretty fast.
Yokohama ADVAN S.4. seems to be good option, has 400 AA A rating.
What's your impression of the tires on Journey / x?

I think the RS-A gets a bad rap. I wore a set out on my '03 G35 sedan (about 50K mi). In four years I never once recall skidding, sliding or losing traction regardless of the weather conditions. They are fairly quiet and the ride is pretty good. You can bet Infiniti engineers researched a lot of tires before selecting the RS-A for the G35. I'm sure they picked it for a reason. The major drawback in my view is the replacement cost. I replaced them with cheaper Yoko Avid V4s. The V4s were just as good if not better ride and handling but a little more noisy. The V4s should be a little better in snow but I never got to try before trading the car.Originally Posted by TMQ

I like the RSAs as well. I have them on the G and they are good. I also had them on my Grand Prix GTP. They were great on that car.
