Congratulations! It's a Genie! Owner and baby are doing GRRREAT!
Well fellas! The time has come! Genie the II is home.
The car is amazing (just like I remembered from the gazillion test drives I took
). The color is to die for, pics don't do this thing justice, I'm so happy I went with the Blue Slate.
Not much to add as you all know what it's all about. So much technology that I'll need to reserve a weekend to sit and play with it
On the way home as I got on the highway my heart rate went ballistic as I felt these vibrations in the steering, which later disappeared (must have been the road
)
All in all, I couldn't be happier (aside from the fact that the coupe is gone
). I really don't understand what the hype is all about with the Bimmers but this is the best car 40 grand will get you. Period.
Couple of things to mention regarding night driving: the projectors are awesome
, but I think I have an issue with the illumination level of the gauge cluster - the max setting is too bright (almost dazzling), and one notch down is too low I think. Oh well...
OK, enough BSing, pics time! I'll get better quality pics when I slap some tint on in a couple of weeks, but this should do it for now...

she looks super sweet! - congrats and good luck!
how do u compare her to Genie I?
I keep looking at my coupe and saying "godddddddd im gonna miss that car" cuz my lease is up real soon - but im totally thinking of going to the 07 sedan - so how do they match up - driving wise and looks wise? just as fun to drive and look at?

Congrats brotha, I am glad to hear you finally got your baby home in the driveway! You waited a long time for it, so I know exactly how excited you were when you picked it up. Did your wife go with you?

Thanks fellas.
Carmen, the ride itself resembles a lot of the coupe. Probably more of the coupe than the previous sedan. The sport seats will mislead you to believe that there is no second set of doors and you are actually driving a coupe...
The handling is as good as the coupes, the technology will blow your mind out, the ride is firm, yet not as harsh as the coupe's (sort of what you would expect from a german automobile). With that said, if I were not in the market for a sedan I may have waited to see what the 08' coupe will have to offer, but unfortunately for me, it's time to grow up...
If you are thinking of getting one, definitely go test drive one. Just make sure you drive the sport.

Nah, she was busy with work or something...
I just signed the papers for the both of us.Besides, I don't think I needed her around. I need time for myself and my new baby - NO INTERRUPTIONS!
