Oil Drain Plug Washer

Anyone have a picture and measurements of the crush-washer for the oil drain plug? I'd like to pick up a few before I change the oil.

It's not in the manual? The manual explains how to change the oil.

I think the crush washer is only available from the Nissan or Infiniti dealerships. Not cheap either, but some use them through 2 oil changes (probably no problems, but you take your chances).

Part # 11026-01M02 is what my invoice says. $1.15 a piece.

Thanks, pmf.

Can you describe the washer to me? What material does it appear to be? Do you have anything available to measure it with?

it's a copper washer that crushes when used.

It's a copper gasket (size b/w that of nickel & quarter) that flattens out once bolted down. I'll see if I can take some measurements or even a pic later on.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. I have some from my last car, but I don't know if the size is correct.
I'd like to get some at the auto parts store or the Depot before I drain the oil and don't have the right one to put back on.

If you use the part # I put up earlier & go to some of the Infiniti parts web sites (Riverside or Infiniti-parts) & search you'll see it matches those for earlier models so I figure they're probably all the same & interchangeable.

I thought I even have it on Amazon once but couldn't find the pic no more.

I would never "re-use" a crush washer across oil changes.
$1 is really cheap insurance for my VQ....

I know that you are not endorsing this re-use idea but just mentioning what you've read -- I just wanted to explicitly call out that it is a very risky thing to do.
You are taking a very big chance doing that.

Alright, peace

Thanks for the link!! I had made a post before asking for maintenance parts, and didn't get any responses. I'll have to check into this mynismo.com
