Interior Light Covers Glow in Dark

Last night I went to the garage to admire my new LEDs I installed for the interior lights. I went to the garage in the complete darkness, got in the car with the new cool LEDs installed, and let them cut off. Then I noticed that all the interior light covers glow in the dark. Nice feature if you are in a really dark area and need to hit the light. Just thought I would share. Was cool to me. First car I had that had these.

if you're talking about aftermarket LEDs, yeah they sometimes take a while to fully cut off. probably cuz they're cheap, but what your seeing is not "glow in the dark"

lol

Ok, so an added benefit of the LED light conversion...

Ok...so I stand corrected. The lens covers don't glow themselves. This makes since now, since I realized the side door light were also glowing and they are made of another material. Made you look. Seriously, mine glow and iI guess we have confirmed that it is the lights. I know they are shut off, since they are switched. So a benefit of doing the aftermarket LED is that they shut off completely and then glow very nicely for about 15 minutes or more. I looked at the extra one I had left over, it has sometype of "glow in the dark" looking material around the lights. I'm not sure if this was designed this way or what. Anyway, funny that they work that way. You can see the power seat switch with the lights off, since the door light mates to that area when you shut the door.

They can't. No power to them, no heat, no spark. Just the diode cooling down it appears. Much less heat and chance on the freaking 300 F incadesents that were in there. But cool, very cool.

Buy the 10 pack of 194s from the guy on eBay. I think they were $29. You can replace all the interior (except vanity mirrors), truck light and licence plate lights with these and have one left over. The owners manual shows you how in the do it yourself section. The door lights will require some sort of very thin screwdriver.

i put in all my lights today

2 Map Lights, 2 Rear Lights, 2 Door Lights, 2 License Plate Lights, 1 Trunk Light --- (one left over LED light)

The door lights.. I used my fingernails to pry it out --- the door lights were the most tricky to replace :\
