Bluetooth detection issues
Bluetooth detection issues
Does anyone else have issues with his/her phone getting detected?
Sometimes the phone is automatically detected as soon as I get in the car. At other times, it doesn't. As a matter of fact, if I then go to the Bluetooth menu on my phone (Verizon LG VX8100), It has a message on the screen (phone screen) about the phone being disconnected (bluetooth wise). If I try to force it to connect, it takes a few trials. The first and second, and usually third attempt - all fail. Then on the 4th or 5th attempt it connects...
Can someone shed some light on this?

Some phones are just meant to NOT work with the G.
My "newer" phone, Samsung D600, has all the bells and whistles, including bluetooth. Imagine my horror on the day I picked up my new G...I spent an hour at the dealer, trying to pair up the phone with the car. No luck.
I have just switched back to my MUCH OLDER Sony Ericsson T610. Bingo! Worked first time, and I can even send contacts.
Perhaps our problems are how bluetooth was implemented on Samsung and LG phones. SE phones are much more stable when it comes to BT.
Good luck to you.

My phone (when connected) seems to work flawlessly. I didn't have any problems pairing it when I picked up the car. Even the signal strength and battery meter seem to work correctly. But from whatever reason, sometimes when I enter the car, the phone is not detected automatically - I need to do it manually by forcing it to connect...

This is definitely weird, but the more I think of it the more I lean towards blaming the phone....

Yea maybe its that model phone you have? I own a Cingular 8125 and i must say the blue tooth works like a charm. Much better than the Lexus, and way better than my Finace's TL.
If you dont mind having a touchscreen phone id suggest this phone its not to bad.

The only T809 + G35 bluetooth success story?

Same problem here with my Treo 700WX. Paired just fine from Day 1 and ran great for a few months. Lately its been having connection issues. Going to try to re-pair the phone and see if that helps any but I blame the phone and not the car.
I think I've figured the problem. I had another device (my home PC) saved on my phone under "Paired devices". I removed the PC and I haven't had the problem since - that was two weeks ago.
My current phone, the Samsung Sync works great. It is automatically detected when I start the car, and makes and receives call through bluettoh in the vehicle like a champ. I do want to move onto the iPhone, but am concerned if I will get as good service as I do with this phone + car currently.
