Hi, has anybody tried convincing their salesperson to install paddle shifters on an '07 G35X w/ auto? If so, how much did you pay for the option? I live in the northeast, so I need AWD, but would like to have option of manual shifting via paddle shifters.

Too cost prohibitive. I don't think it can be done.Originally Posted by appdev72

i was wondering the same thing too, taking the fact that the X cost the most compare to other G modles, how come it doesn't get paddle shifters or even sport seats?? i don't think it'll cost infiniti too much to give out paddle shifters as an option does it? Originally Posted by appdev72

bmw 335i has paddle shifter option for $100 which the dealer usually throws it in for free.

Well, there do have to be some things that differentiate the Sport from the other models......otherwise what would be the purpose of having a Sport model?Originally Posted by genxy2k

i agree, but since the G is already a sport sedan and the X can perform just as well as the S because of the AWD system which was used in nissan GT-R34, 33, 32, why not throw in some goodies since it already cost more. Originally Posted by Garnet Canuck

or at least let people have the option to get it with extra $$.

IMO, it has nothing to do with performance, it is all about differentiating one model from the other. Infiniti has to draw the line somewhere with regards to different models offering different features. That is why you see Sport being the only model offering the 6MT and the G35x being the only model offering the ATTESA AWD option. Just my .02 cents.Originally Posted by genxy2k
